Led by First Lieutenant Abdian, the medical team responded to the urgent health concerns of local resident Anton Waker, who was suffering from a fever. The soldiers, taking time from their regular security duties, quickly provided a thorough examination and treatment at the Bilogai Post.
Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, Commander of the 509 Task Forces, emphasized the importance of the soldiers’ role in supporting the local community. “This is more than just a mission; it’s our commitment to serve and uplift the people around us, ” he stated.
During the treatment, the medical team engaged with Anton, fostering a friendly atmosphere that not only addressed his health concerns but also strengthened community ties. After receiving care, Anton expressed his gratitude, saying, “Thank you, Commander 509. I feel much better now. God bless you!”
The initiative was warmly received, with Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the HABEMA Commanding General, commending the 509 Task Forces for their efforts. “This initiative reflects TNI's dedication to helping residents facing health challenges, supporting the overall development of the Papua region, ” he noted.
This free health treatment program not only provided immediate care but also served as a reminder of the significant role that TNI plays in enhancing the welfare of the communities they serve.
